There are no words to describe how professional and courteous the law offices of Caro Kinsella are. We were extremely anxious during the application process and the staff in the office were fantastic, no amount of questions or panicked phone calls was too much for them. They reassured us every step of the way. Attorney Kinsella has the highest standard of perfectionism I've seen, making sure every single details in our application was exact. What it meant for us on the day of our interview was that we walked up to the officer and did not get asked for any further information, in fact the officer simply said "ah yes you are from PBA(company name)". We were ask no questions and told our visas were approved. It just doesn't get any better then that does it? We were impatient whilst the attorney was preparing the petition but we realised walking away why it took the time it did-because the attorney was not going to submit it until she knew it was going to ensure a straight forward interview. I can not speak highly enough of this office. They know immigration! Were they more expensive than other attorneys? Yes BUT you get what you pay for and quite frankly this is not something you want to cut corners on and these ladies are worth every penny and then some.

Attorney Kinsella thank you for helping me and my family obtain our L-1 and L-2 visas. We now have a successful business in the U.S. & our children love the American way of life thanks to you and your staff! We were fully informed of all the steps involved in the process, and the mock interview with Caro before going to the U.S. consulate was invaluable. I can't thank her enough for all she did.

From the first day to the last we followed the advice of the Kinsella law firm, collected the many documents, testimonials, and photographs suggested. Within a month the application was submitted and 3 months later the Green Card was in hand! This was the end of a 23 year journey!

Our sincerest thanks go out to Ms. Kinsella and her very competent staff for the professional handling of our application and for the compassionate “hand holding” that got us through the entire process.

My name is Patrick Meehan. I met my future life partner, Armando in early August 2004 on the beach in East Hampton, NY. By September, he was planning on moving back to Costa Rica, and I followed him there. We spent two weeks on the Pacific Coast down there…I guess you could call that our Honeymoon, as we decided we couldn’t be apart and we decided he’d come back to East Hampton and we’d give it a go living together in my house there.

Over the ensuing years, Armando would have panic attacks every time a police cruiser would come near him while driving; we saw countless ICE roundups of day laborers in our town; and we lived every day in fear that our home and family could be torn apart next. We even had to stop flying, as a friend of ours from Argentina was stopped on a domestic flight from NY to Miami, only to be deported and never to be heard from again…leaving his partner in NY devastated beyond belief. That’s when we took to the road…the only trip we would ever take was to drive to Fort Lauderdale with our dogs and enjoy a break from the Northeast winters. We settled in, but Armando had even more fear here as we were in a bigger city and he felt paranoid at every turn.
June 26, 2013 was the day we’d waited 9 years for…we could finally get married and file for Armando’s legal status as a married couple. We immediately made plans.
But how to do all of this so we were sure to become a legal couple in the US? We knew we needed an immigration lawyer, but how to find one not hostile to a gay male couple? I spotted an ad in the South Florida Gay News for the Law firm of Caro Kinsella. She specialized in immigration, and had recently obtained green cards for bi-national gay couples. I called the firm, and they couldn’t have been more professional…and most importantly calming and assuring. We had a consult with Attorney Kinsella who explained every step of the process, and all the documentation we’d need to gather up. We couldn’t retain her fast enough!!!

Before the wedding, her sympathetic and most helpful staff guided us through the documentation checklist. By the time we left for our DC wedding, Attorney Kinsella’s staff had all in hand they needed. All we needed was the triple seal wedding license from DC, and we’d be ready to file for the long elusive green card.
We returned to Fort Lauderdale, send the license to the Kinsella firm, and within 3 months we had our interview. Attorney Kinsella’s team briefed us on what to expect at the interview and how to handle the process. The dreaded interview is THE milestone in validating the marriage and moving towards green card status. Attorney Kinsella’s staff put us at ease…we had nothing to hide, and they said for us to just go in and be ourselves. We did so, our interviewer loved us a as a couple, and by February Armando’ has his legal permanent residence card in hand.

We are forever indebted to them with our utmost gratitude, and would recommend any bi-national couple facing what we faced to retain Attorney Kinsella and her team immediately. Armando and I would be more than happy to serve as a reference if any other couples in our situation are in search of a firm and would need a personal reference for the Kinsella firm.

Our sincerest thanks go out to Ms. Kinsella and her very competent staff for the professional handling of our application and for the compassionate “hand holding” that got us through the entire process.
With our utmost appreciation,

I had spoken to Caro a few years back, no other attorney know as much about the visa as she did. My husband and I had just moved home and the fees at the time we felt were too much to afford given the circumstances, so we went with another Immigration attorney who was close by and cheaper.
The other attorney filed an L visa for me and US Immigration came back asking for information sending the attorney a RFE "request for evidence" letter. The attorney addressed the letter, but the case was ultimately denied.
He then filed an appeal, but that was denied too.

My husband and college aged son were here with me everyone was already settled in the USA and we get this news. The attorney suggests that we now file the E visa (the same visa Caro had originally said we go with). So we filed the E visa, another RFE came and soon after another denial.(In hindsight Caro would have been cheaper as I spent nearly four times as much money than Caro quoted me for the visa, nearly lost my house, had to move the kids back home and still had no visa!)

Caro took over my case and it was hard to believe her as everything she told me was opposite of the what the other attorney told me. Caro understands the issues that come up at the consulate, everything she told me was how it went. She talked to me and prepared me for the consulate interview, we walked into the Dublin consulate and 30 minutes later we had an approved visa (FINALLY!).

Our marriage petition green card was approved! Thanks so much for all your help. Travis and I are very thankful for the excellent support that Caro and her team provided. Please know that Rebekah and the support team took extremely good care of us and were always very responsive to our 1,000 questions and to every loop we threw at them. We knew it was going to be a long process but very well worth it. We're so glad we had a chance to work with your firm, and kudos to marketing for advertising during Atlanta gay pride which just happens to be this weekend!
Again a million thanks.

As a green card holder for twenty years I made the mistake of staying out of the US for over two years due to circumstance. I was not aware at the time that there were petitions you could file if planning on staying out for over a year so when the time came for me to start planning my return I knew I needed to enlist the help of an immigration lawyer. Caro Kinsella was recommended though a friend in Ireland and after mailing here she informed me that she was gong to be in Ireland for a conference and that we should meet up.

Once I explained my case to her and gave her what relevant paperwork and other info she needed it became clear that I may have a tough fight ahead of me because as far as USCIS are concerned I abandoned my green card by staying out of the USCIS for over two years. I was also hoping to return in quite a short period time after we met so things needed to move fast.

I pulled all the info she requested – affidavits, references etc and she built a case for me which I presented to immigration upon returning to the US. They deferred me for an interview with an immigration officer in San Francisco and after reviewing my case he was convinced that I had good reasons for not returning to the US during the time in question. He told me that I had put a good case together and was impressed with the memo that had been drawn up by Caro.

I would like to also just say that this all happened during the holiday season and there were a couple of times that I needed to speak with someone in the office even though they were closed for Christmas and the New Year. Caro took my calls despite being on vacation and was helpful in advising me how to next proceed with them.

I just received my new green card and apart from learning a valuable lesson I have no doubt that I would not be in this position had it not been for the assistance from Caro. I now that all cases don’t end up with an outcome like mine. I’m glad I enlisted the help I did.

Thank you, Caro. You are the best! I appreciate you from the beginning knowing you are very knowledgeable and dedicated to my case. I was nervous when I got the RFE from Immigration, but though it all you made me feel at ease. Thanks again!

Thanks, again, Caro and team. We are extremely pleased with the process and of course the result. I really like how you consider this a longer term relationship.

We look forward to working with your team in about 18 months (wow, doesn't sound like that far away!)

I also want to say to prospective clients that, although you can file on your own without legal assistance, all you have to do is go to some online immigration forums to see that many people file incorrectly or have issues. So, don't think you're paying for paperwork filing (and there are a lot of forms, not just one). You are paying for their experience, interview coaching and their expertise in making sure that you have the best opportunity for approval once your case is reviewed.

There is no way for us to place a value on the peace of mind we received in exchange for very reasonable legal fees.I would never hesitate to recommend Caro Kinsella and her team and would certainly use her services again should the occasion arise.

Thank you,

My mom was a US citizen, I was born in New York but I spent most my life in Cork. I did lots of reading online and thought that I couldn’t get my kids a US Passport since I been in Ireland so long. Just a few minutes on the phone with Caro and I learned how wrong I was. Thank you so much Caro, my boys all got US passports now! I’m sending my brother to you as well so his lot can get sorted too. Thanks again Caro, words cannot describe I’m so happy!

Caro we cannot thank-you enough for all your help, you put so much work into our E-2 visa petition that you left the officer nothing to ask us!

We just handed him our documents, then he looked at the computer screen and said "Oh I can see that most of the work is already done here". Then he just read through our file, name of company, etc etc and I just confirmed "yes, yes".

Then he said, " I see you have a substantial investment, then looked at the screen again and said " wow that's a substantial investment"

He then became rather amused while reading about the reptile rescue and read from screen, I see you'll be in the Miami, Orlando, Daytona etc areas , yep all the areas where people are willing to spend money to have reptiles removed from their pools"

He stated that we had over 7 years experience running our own business in Ireland and I replied "10 years" he said "wow". He noted that Fran had a LOT of experience with plumbing & water and we just nodded.

He asked if our intended employee was going to be employed on a part-time basis and If he was an American citizen and we just replied "yes".

Then he said "I'm going to grant you a 36 month visa because I have a really good feeling about this business and your going to need that time to get set up and going. The interview was over in less than 2 minutes and was so easy.

Thank you and your staff for getting us our visa, yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
